Siletz Tribal Arts & Heritage Society (STAHS) was selected as one of non-profits to receive a grant from the city of Lincoln City. The $25,000 grant will be used to support the development and creation of exhibits that will displayed at the Ghii Dee-Ne Dvn, A Place for the People, cultural center and museum.
“I am grateful that our city budget has allocated $300,000 for grants to non-profit agencies, these nonprofits provide services to our community beyond the scope of what our city can do. This year we have been able to award grants to sixteen local non-profits, which I hope will assist them in their missions” Mayor Susan Wahlke told the News Guard.
The journey of Ghii Dee-Ne Dvn is not just about budgets and blueprints. It’s a collaboration of many foundations, Tribes, organizations, businesses, individual donors and volunteers to provide a place to learn and be apart of the Siletz culture. STAHS is forever grateful to the city of Lincoln City and their support of the development of Ghii Dee-Ne Dvn.
