Quincy Casey, 2024 – Present

Chee’ la Quincy waa ‘vm-nvsh-shi. Hello, Quincy is the name that I am called! My ancestors are of the Lower Rogue River and my bands are Sixes (Kwatami), Mikonotunne, Joshua (Chemetunne), Chasta Costa and Tututni. My mother is Ticey Mason and my grandma is Pamela Rilatos. I grew up in Beaverton, OR just outside of Portland and have always been in love with the city. Not too long ago I finished my five years in the architecture program at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence and am now pursuing my career in architecture.

I am an advocate for native youth trying to get into the art scene and wish to someday open up a space, both physical and virtual to amplify their work.

In my free time, I enjoy illustrating as a hobby and am currently working on an indigenous comic with characters, settings and environments inspired by our culture, the Oregon coast and Salmon. A lot of my art is heavily influenced by our basketry patterns and spatial building practices including the plank house. In addition to illustration, I enjoy doing other contemporary forms of indigenous artmaking through 3d design, painting and Jewelry.

Welcome Quincy!
