Campaign for A Place for the People
Beginning in 2020, Siletz Tribal Arts & Heritage Society (STAHS) adopted a budget of $312,000 and hired a Capital Campaign Director. STAHS has completed the two-year capital campaign of $2.5 million. Siletz Tribal Council has committed to a 3 to 1 match of the $2.5 goal.
Campaign success!
We are pleased to announce that with contributions from foundations, community-partners and individual donors we have exceeded our goal in the Capital Campaign.
Our next goal is to raise funds for future exhibits, educational outreach programs, and other necessary items within the museum to support and promote the culture of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians.
The scale of the Ghii Dee-Ne Dvn, A Place for the People culture museum will match the scale of the existing Community Center located on Government Hill across from the Veteran’s Memorial. The day-lighted basement will house the repository and archives. The main floor will include museum/visitor space with a replica of the cedar plank dance house that is located near the Siletz River. The dance house space will be the first spot our visitors will see. The attic space will include a classroom and research area.
Please consider supporting STAHS, with a one-time donation or a monthly, reoccurring pledge. Your support is vital to enrich the lives of our membership and community.
